Tonia Roberts

Tonia hails from a strong circus family background. Originally from Spain, Tonia is from the famous Cristo family and it is with them that she started her career. She worked all over Europe with her father and her sister Millie performing aerial trapeze and rolling globes, before coming to England in 1972 to work with the Robert Brothers Circus. It was on this tour that she met and married her husband John Roberts.

Since then, Tonia has performed many acts, including presenting horses, rolling globes, and her famous aerial moon act, whilst touring with the show.

Her career even took her on a season of 3 months in Los Angeles, USA, performing in the Television show, Circus of the Stars.

Mother to John Boy Carolyn and Jana, she has succeeded in juggling the hectic schedule of family and performing life throughout.

Now an integral part of the running of the show, Tonia continues to have hands on input behind the scenes of the New Generation Show. Tonia is proud of the New Generation show, and hopes to see it grow from strength to strength in the coming years.
